Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American advisor to the political process, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. As a member of Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011); White House deputy director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was an CNN political contributor from 2017 until 2020. Psaki started her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and was later elected governor of Iowa. Psaki was later appointed as deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director of Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012, serving as the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign. In the year 2000, Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. There was speculation that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary when he left White House in the year 21 were fueled by her hiring by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30 in 2014. She returned to White House in 2015 to serve as communications director. She remained with the Obama administration until its end.
